I love this art project.

Firstly, what I do is teach about body parts. Words like "head" "eyes" "ears" "legs" etc. Then, you show the kids a slide-show about super-heroes. You can choose ones they already know about like Batman, Superman, and Spiderman. You can teach the kids all the words like "flying" "shoots webs" or "jumps high" etc.

Basically, get them to learn body-part words and "super-power" words. Then, you get them to take that inspiration from Spiderman and other heroes... and they CREATE THEIR OWN!

Simply give them a big white piece of paper. They can draw their super-hero on it. Then they name it, and label all the body parts. They can write a little story about it, and what kind of super powers it has.

* Alternatively, you can design a robot. Instead, teach them cool words like "button" and "antenna" etc.
