I'm looking for televised news (or any korean media) regarding these posts:

I know these people personally, and the actual game was strictly a home game - i.e. the house took no "rake" - similar to what thrives in foreigner communities ALL over Korea. The fcked part - and thing that will be made into a BIG deal, again, is that 2 of the "guilty" failed a drug test.

I am curious about how the Korean media will blow this out of proportion. The two blogs hint to it, but I want to see what the Koreans say. Remember the 60 min "dateline/20/20" special they made about foreigners drinking/smoking/illegal teaching etc. a couple of years back???

Police busting up an English teacher's poker game? That's classic.

The person taking credit for it is the anti-English spectrum guy, as you can see by his proud announcement. I think that page is visible even without a Naver ID. I imagine one of the other blogs has already posted that link and translated it, but if not I could paraphrase it later.

I'll also keep an eye out if any news segments come up.

[리포트] 경찰이 집안에 들이닥치는 순간 방 한구석에 설치된 포커 테이블이 눈에 들어옵니다. 테이블에는 돈을 걸 때 사용하는 도박용 칩과 카드가 어지럽게 널려 있습니다. 벽 곳곳에는 포커 카드와 도박 우승자의 사진이 걸려 있습니다. 31살 G 씨 등 외국인 13명은 서울 이태원 일대에서 상습적으로 도박을 하다 붙잡혔습니다. [인터뷰:김기용, 서울경찰청 외사3계 팀장] "외국에서는 문화적 차이로 인해 큰 처벌을 받지 않는다는 생각을 하고 별다른 죄의식 없이 도박을 했는데..." 이들 대부분은 서울과 경기 지역 학교와 학원에서 영어 강사로 일하고 있습니다. 지난 1월부터 6개월 동안 이들이 벌인 도박 횟수만 110여 회. 하루에 최대 200만 원씩, 지금까지 걸린 판돈만 수천만 원에 이를 것으로 추정되고 있습니다. 적발된 외국인 가운데 일부는 이 같은 도구를 이용해 상습적으로 마약을 흡연하기도 했습니다. 단속을 피하기 위해 해외 인터넷 사이트에 도박 장소 등을 공지한 것으로 조사됐습니다. 외부에서는 알 수 없도록 집안에 스티로폼을 이용해 방음벽도 설치했습니다. 경찰은 G 씨 등 적발된 외국인 13명을 불구속 입건하고, 서울 이태원 등 외국인 밀집 지역을 중심으로 수사를 확대할 방침입니다.
