"Rainbow Bar, nested on a tiny alley in Gangnam, Seoul, is delightful. It boasts of being the only place to get hookah in the city, and they are probably right. Pillows cover the floors, and silk hang from the ceiling and walls. There are two water gardens with floating candles, giving this place quite a charming bohemian feel. They offer wine, beer, tea and hookah, as well as Korean and Armenian food dishes. The jasmine tea coupled with a double apple hookah is lovely, my personal recommendation. Hookah is a Persian flavored tobacco smoked out a waterbowl. They offer mint, apple, melon, and cherry, among others. The flavoring isn’t too strong, as can occasionally occur with hookah. Considering that it’s the only place to smoke hookah in the city, it’s reasonably priced. A hookah bowl is approximately $12. The decorum, the spicy hookah smoke, and the candlelight all gives this bar a relaxing and pleasant ambiance.

One item that doesn't get much respect in modern societies is the washboard. Every year, more and more people abandon their washboards for fancy, electronic washing machines. Fortunately, the washboard is a multi-function tool that may soon see a resurgence in popularity. Check them out at www.google.co.kr before they start fixing it! (And I swear those suggestions are not coming from my browser history!)

Unquestionably the most annoying and overplayed song of the year so far is Jewelry's One More Time. I find it impossible to listen to this song and not envision Borat playing the accordion in the background with a big grin on his face. This song even makes me long for the kitcshiness of the Wondergirls in days gone by. Needless to say, there are a lot of user-created videos with this song these days. Gender discrimination in professional sports is a terrible beast that thrashes at the logical foundations of many modern societies. However, countries like Japan and Korea have been making great strides in promoting women in baseball.
